TWIG Mobile Telematics, a business of GeoSentric Plc, today announces availability of GPS realtime tracking on all its TWIG safety and tracking devices as well as the TWIG WebFinder service.

Realtime tracking streams the GPS location of the mobile device over cellular network (GPRS) to the TWIG WebFinder service, or a compatible custom tracking system. Location of the TWIG mobile device is updated every few seconds on the street map display.

Market applications of realtime tracking include valuable transports security, VIP security, field operations management and sports events.

Realtime tracking is a standard feature in the new TWIG Protector safety device, the TWIG Discovery Pro safety phone and the TWIG Locator tracking device (from firmware release 014).

Using TWIG WebFinder tracking system, GPS realtime tracking is easily operated with all TWIG devices, with the locations shown on detailed street maps in 60+ countries world wide.

Custom tracking systems can benefit from realtime tracking by integrating TWIG devices through the TWIG MPTP protocol and GPRS.
